Flaxseed Mouth Freshener is an after meal treat made from whole flaxseeds that are first mixed with a tangy solution and then roasted. This renders better absorption of the nutrients from the flaxseeds Mouth Freshener. It is very easy to make this healthy flaxseed mouth freshener. Flaxseed Mouth Freshener is a great nutritional powerhouse. It helps in digestion, is rich in fibers, vitamins and minerals and Omega3 fatty acids. It helps in reducing weight and is a great immunity booster. Apart from this there is a myriad of other benefits. Roasted fennel seeds or sesame seeds can also be mixed with this freshener to give interesting flavours.
Having just a little less than a teaspoon after meals or once a day helps in digestion. So pull up your socks and make this interesting and healthy mouth freshener.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup whole flaxseeds (Alsi seeds)
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/2 tsp regular salt/table salt
- 1/2 tsp black salt
Method:
- Organise all the ingredients.
- In a bowl add lime juice, water, regular salt and black salt. Mix well so that the salts dissolve.
- Now mix this lime juice mixture with the flaxseeds.
- The lime juice should be incorporated well with the flaxseeds.
- Cover and keep aside for half an hour.
- Now transfer the soaked flaxseeds into a heavy bottom pan and dry roast.
- Keep low frame throughout so that the flaxseeds do not burn.
- Stir and keep a vigilant eye while roasting.
- Initially the flaxseeds will be sticky and wet. As roasting continues, the flaxseeds turn dry and slippery.
- When all the flaxseeds turn dry put off the flame.
- Let it cool.
- Store in air tight container.
- Enjoy after meals!
Recipe Notes:
- Work on low flame while roasting the flaxseeds
- The flavours can be varied by roasting sesame seeds or fennel seedsalongwith the flaxseeds.
- This mouth freshener should be enjoyed in very small portions such as half or one teaspoon.
