Paneer Bhurji Recipe  is a quick effortless preparation  that tastes  so much like the Restaurant or Dhaba style . This is scrambled cottage cheese which is  s
autéd with capsicum, onions, garlic ginger and a wide array of spices. Quick and Easy to make and yet so flavorful and aromatic. This authentic style Paneer bhurji can be metamorphosed into paneer bhurji frankies, paneer quesadillas, paneer wrappers and paneer parathas. With this paneer bhurji video recipe you can prepare and enjoy a delectable  paneer bhurji at home with rotis, parathas or naans. 

Ingredients:

  • 250gm Paneer/Indian cottage cheese(crumbled)-250 gm

  • 2 large Onions (chopped)-
  • 1 medium Tomato (chopped)-
  • 1 small Capsicum (chopped)
  • 3 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 tsp each of  chopped Ginger  and Garlic
  • 2 medium green chillies
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • ½  tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/8 cup boiled fresh green peas (optional)
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi
  • ¼ tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2” cinnamom stick
  • 1 big cardamom
  • 2 small cardamoms
  • 3-4 cloves
  • Salt to taste
  • A few chopped coriander leaves

    Method:

      1. Organize ingredents. 

      2. Heat oil in a kadai or pan.

      3. Add clove, cardamoms and  cinnamon.
      4. Now add chopped onions and sauté till light brown.

      5. When onions become light brown  add chopped ginger and garlic.
      6. Sauté for sometime.
      7. Add chopped green chilis.
      8. Sauté on low to medium flame.
      9. Add chopped tomatoes.
      10. Sauté till tomatoes are soft and mushy.
      11. Add turmeric powder, salt, chili powder and coriander powder. Mix.
      12. Then add chopped capsicum and sauté.
      13.  Add grated paneer. 
      14. Saute till spices are well incorporated into the paneer. .
      15. Add green peas
      16. Sprinkle kasuri methi. Mix well.
      17. Add a little water
      18. Now sprinkle garam masala and some coriander leaves.
      19. Cover and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
      20. Serve with Roti 



      Recipe Notes:

      1. The paneer must be fresh
      2. Work on low to medium flame.
      3. Instead of grating, you can even mash with finger tips.  
      4. Do not overcook otherwise paneer bhurji will turn tough instead of soft and creamy.
